Seemingly,at least here, modernism circumscribes the concept of post-Modernism - and it
is from this that confusion as to what constitutes our contemporary state can be  or is
arises -- if Post-modernism has no subject other than that of modernity and its
modernism - it is little more than a reformulation of the modernism rather than an act
of formulating its other, in that case  a synthesis can not produced - for p-M as it
name implies does not constitute an antithesis to modernism - nor, does it constitute a
thesis capable of producing an alterity 

The critique of something is not its other and often arises from within --eg. the
critique of reason is not reasons other but merely its reform
